FAQs

What should I wear?

We want people to feel comfortable and relaxed at our wedding. For men, we would suggest suits and for women summer/cocktail dresses are perfect. Chris will be wearing a beige suit. As a precaution against guests wearing white, the groomsmen may be given a red wine water pistol.

What time should I arrive?

Please arrive for 1pm where we will be serving welcome drinks.

Is there parking at the venue?

There is parking available at the villa however we encourage people to car share as possible to ensure everyone can fit in.

How do I get to the venue?

The venue location can be found approximately on Guinevere Guest Farm. The location above does not bring you to the front door so we will send through precise instructions nearer the time. We encourage those staying in Tulbagh to book taxis as soon as possible. Please note: To get to the villa you have to drive on gravel tracks and off-road terrain, we encourage people to drive/hire vehicles with a high clearance to prevent damage.

What happens if it rains?

We get wet. In all seriousness, we will come up with a wet weather plan so the show will go on whatever the weather.

Are children welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, with the exception of Nika's favourite nephew, this wedding is an adult-only affair.

Can I bring a plus one?

The short answer is no. It is really important to us that we know everybody there on our wedding day so we will be naming all of the invited guests on the invites.

Will food and drinks be provided?

The all important question. We are so excited for the food. We will be providing: All food on the Saturday afternoon, Breakfast bits (Sunday & Monday), Braai Food (Sunday). We will also provide a fair amount of alcohol. We encourage overnight guests to bring a range of snacks and any personal alcohol preferences.

Do you have a gift registry?

Your presence at our special day is a gift in itself. If you do wish to give something then a contribution to our honeymoon would mean the world to us.
